The afternoon passed by in the blink of an eye. Twilight illuminated the sky outside and filtered in

Ever since she was diagnosed with mania, she had been visiting Joshua’s place every night for an IV
drip for a week.

Her alarm for leaving work half an hour early hadn’t sounded yet, but her phone rang first.

“Let’s go home and have our dinner, Gwenny”

throughout that period. “Hubby, does that mean my condition is improving?”

“That’s right. Congratulations, Darling.” He cupped her face and kissed her lips passionately.

After the fervent kiss, Gwendolyn spoke in a coy voice. “Does that mean I can wear the dresses and
costumes we bought at Astoria?“

Annie asked. “Where are you bringing me. Ms. Harris?”

Without elaborating, Gwendolyn answered casually. “You’ll know when we get there.”

The two entered the elevator one after the other and went down to the garage.

Gwendolyn drove while Annie sat in the passenger seat.
