Chapter 13: Let Go of Each Other

She looked at him. She didn't need an answer. She understood. "you don't need to answer me.I know
the answer. Let's divorce and let go of each other."

She shook off his hand and bent down to pick up the vegetables. She inclined to cry with the red eyes.

She had expected to see a touch of tenderness and nostalgia in his eyes. And if he say something to
stop her. Maybe she would stay for his gentleness.

But the man was so calm that she could not see anything in his eyes. What could she ask for?

She did not even have the courage to question him the relationship with Marian Johnson.

She was very calm and was going into the house.He ran to stop her in a hurry.

"Is it about your father?" he asked. "I'm already trying."

"It's none of his business. I'll deal with his problems."She replied, "I want a divorce."

"How?How do you deal with it?Two million dollars is not a small sum."He was suspicious.

She did not answer him, but bit her lip firmly.

He approached her and said coldly, "you wanted to get married in the beginning. Now you want a
divorce. What do you think of me?Have you considered my feelings?"

" I......"She didn't have time to explain, because he kissed her so hard.He kissed so violently that he
seemed to take it as punishment.



She felt hot and faint.

It was their second kiss, apart from making love.

They kissed for a long time, until his cell phone rang and he reluctantly stopped it.And he held her hand
so tightly that he was afraid she would leave.He answered the phone and said, "what's up? "OK, I see.
Book me a flight to Singapore tomorrow."

Three minutes later, he finished the conversation.He always handled things quickly.

"I'm going to Singapore on business for a week.I'll discuss the divorce with you when I get
back."Tyrone said reluctantly .

"It’s just divorce. I've signed it. You can just sign your name.."she said quietly.

Tyrone tore up the divorce document in front of her. It was rare.Tyrone's tone softened a little.
"Marriage would not not over when you say it's over. I also need to think about it.Don't be childish."

Is he kidding ?Come on, it is she who married him. He's wasting her youth.

Cathy wanted to stick to her position, but Tyrone raised his hand and touched her head, and naturally
took several shopping bags in her hand."I haven't seen your mother for a long time.I'll accompany you
to see her."His voice softened.

After a sentence or two, Cathy became soft-hearted and took him upstairs in silence.



Her mother was surprised when she saw him.But after he greeted to her, her mother nodded and went
on watching TV.

They went into the kitchen to cook. She cooked and he cut and washed the vegetables.They were
quiet and did not mention the divorce.It was like that it never happened.

Her mother’s house is too small for three people live in.So she wasn't going to keep him for the night

After dinner, Tyrone watched the TV with her. It wasn't too early, so he got up and ready to leave.

"will you see me off?"

"Won't you walk by yourself."She was unwilling to get up from the sofa.

He was also unwilling to leave without her seeing him off. So he stood there. They were deadlocked.
Until her mother urged them. She agreed.

As he left, he said downstairs again, " The divorce, wait until I come back."
