Chapter 131 Four Months Later

Eli POV

I’m lying next to my beautiful mate. Her belly is heavy with our pup. I lean my head down resting it near
her belly to speak to our pup. “Hello, little one, it’s daddy. Your mama and I can’t wait to meet you. You
already have a best friend and sister. Her name is Faith.” “I don’t think our pups will ever be without
best friends”, Calliope says. I smirk and crawl up the bed to press a soft kiss on her lips. She is
absolutely right. Most of our family is having pups. “Daddy” I hear Faith say through the monitor. I pull
back and Calliope smirks at me. “Why don’t you go get our sweet girl and I’ll go take a shower?” She
kisses me one more time and I help her to her feet. I give her a tap on her a** and she laughs. I walk
across the hall and when I open the door Faith starts to jump up and down in her crib. “Good morning
Faithie” I say as I scoop her into my arms. “Daddy, cookie” she says, and I chuckle. “I think breakfast
first and then maybe you can have a cookie.” I get her changed and dressed for the day. “Eli, I need
you” Calliope says and I can hear the panic in her voice. I immediately link my mother as I walk to our
room. I walk toward the bathroom and I feel like my heart is going to beat out of my chest. I open the
door and Calliope is leaning against the sink. I look down and I notice the floor at her feet is wet.

She turns and she must see the panic on my face. “Eli, look at me. I’m alright. My water broke but I’m
fine.” My mother rushes inside and takes Faith from me. I feel like I can’t breathe. “Eli, help Calliope get
to the hospital so they can check on her and the pup” my mother says, and I finally snap out of it. I rush
toward her, lifting her into my arms bridal style. “Eli, I can walk. The doctor said my first labor will last a
while.” “I am not taking any chances.” I didn’t finish the rest of my thought, but I’m sure Calliope knew
where my mind was. She lays her head against my chest and I breathe in her scent as I rush to the
pack hospital. As soon as we walk into the lobby the doctor is already waiting. Thank goddess my
mother was thinking. I place Calliope in a wheelchair and they lead her through the double doors. I am
on the nurse’s heels and once we are in the room, I lift Calliope and place her in bed. I watch as the



nurse hooks up monitors and places an IV. “Eli, I know your scared. I’m scared too, but she is strong
and they will both be fine” Silas says. I know he is trying to convince himself as much as he is trying to
comfort me. I love my wolf and I pray to the goddess he is right.

I take a seat by her bed and take her hand in mine. There is a knock on the door and the doctor walks
in. “Alright, Alphas, let’s see how close we are to having a pup.” She positions herself at the base of
Calliope’s bed and after a few minutes she stands up. “Alpha, you are five centimeters. You are moving
along nicely. Try the best you can to rest between the contractions so you have the energy to push
when it’s time.” We both thank her and she leaves us alone again. I rub my hand through her hair and
her eyes meet mine. “I love you, Eli.” “I love you too.”

Calliope POV

I wish I could take the worry and fear away from Eli. I know that he is remembering what happened to
Clara. I can’t imagine how scary that was for him. The devastation he felt when he felt their bond break.
Aurora is reassuring Silas in hopes that he can help Eli. “Why don’t you get in next to me and hold me,
Eli? I’m here with you. We are at the hospital. If anything happens, they will help me and our pup.” I can
see he wants to protest but he needs to feel me as much as I need to feel him. He maneuvers the
wires and slides in next to me. The tingles and his scent surround me. A contraction hits and its
stronger than the ones I’ve been having. I breathe through it and Eli rubs circles on my back. The
contractions are coming every few minutes. I’m not sure how long passes before the doctor returns.
The pressure I’m feeling is getting stronger and I feel like there is no more breaks between the
contractions. Eli gets up and stands next to my bed while the doctor checks me. “It looks like your
almost ready. You’re nine centimeters. I’m going to go get changed and by the time I get back you
should be ready to push.” She leaves and Eli bends down to press a kiss to my lips.

Ten minutes later, the doctor returns and I have the urge to push. “I feel like I need to push”, I grunt out.
She takes her seat at the end of my bed and she smiles up at me. “The next contraction you feel I want



you to push for a count of ten.” Eli is holding my left leg while the nurse holds my right. I feel the
contraction and I bear down with everything I have in me. The nurse counts and when she says ten, I
relax. It doesn’t last long and I feel the pain again. I’m not sure how long I push, but I’m just about to
bear down again when the doctor tells me to breathe through the contraction. “Alpha one more good
push and you will be able to hold your pup.” I wait for the next pain to hit and I bear down giving it
everything I have left in me. I can’t even describe the feeling when my pup finally leaves my body. The
pain is completely gone before I hear the best sound I’ve ever heard. My pup’s cries fill the room. We
waited to see what we were having until today. “Congratulations Alphas, it’s a girl.” I lay back on my
pillow and breathe a sigh of relief that she is finally here. “You did so good Cali. She is perfect, just like
her sister”, Aurora says.

I watch Eli as he watches the nurse clean up our daughter. He is so protective of me and our pups. A
few minutes later, he walks back toward me with a little bundle wrapped in a pink blanket. He sets my
daughter in my arms. She is beautiful and Aurora’s right, she is perfect. She has my hair color and Eli’s
beautiful blue eyes. We picked out a boy and girl name that we both liked. I stare down at my daughter.
“Are you still alright with the name we picked” I say as I look at Eli who has tears running down his
cheeks. He leans down and kisses my forehead. “I think it’s perfect.” “I do too. Welcome to the world,
Destiny Larisa Thomas.” They move us to the Alpha suite and Amelia and Lincoln come in first. Eli
hands her to Amelia and she is looking at her with such love it takes my breath away. The door opens
and Larisa comes inside with Magnum. She comes over and hugs me. “Congratulations, you are
amazing” she says before she pulls back. She manages to steal our pup from Amelia, which was no
easy feat. “Tell us what her name is” Lincoln says. I look at Eli. “Destiny Larisa Thomas”, he says with
pride in his voice. Larisa looks between us and I can see tears in her eyes. “Thank you for thinking of
me. She is perfect and I can’t wait for her to meet our pup.” We all look at Larisa and Magnum, who are
both smiling. I guess there will be even more pups to love.
