The beast wave was mostly comprised of wildbeasts, not warbeasts. Most of them couldn't be controlled and killed anything that moved. They had only been chased into the battlefield by much stronger warbeasts and were mostly used as cannon fodder. It was unlikely they could follow instructions precisely enough to serve as tactical reinforcements. Once the special-tier beast wave reached the Imperium Central Province, they would first destroy the Central Shuntian Clan.
"Beast waves are only good for attacking. That is indeed true." Shenxi Xingtian mysteriously smiled.
"Then what’s your reason for sending them?" Shuntian Bohai froze.
"Don't you understand? The beast wave we're preparing isn’t going to be sent to the Imperium Central Province. Instead, we're planning to attack the Greenhill Yushan Clan. No doubt, they're the ones who sent the most troops for the attack, leaving only two-thirds of their forces behind. Yi Daiyan was terrifying, but only to an extent. Her allies, the Greenhill Yushan Clan in particular, were the ebons' greatest worries, given their ability to undermine their control over warbeasts. In that regard, they were worse enemies for the ebons to face than the Swordgod Lin Clan. Not to mention, they were the largest clan under Yi Daiyan's banner, making them one of the top three in Ebonia.
Shuntian Bohai still seemed clueless after hearing all that.
"Don't you get it?" Shenxi Xingtian chuckled. "The Greenhill Yushan Clan sent out a huge force, led by Yushan Taifeng, Yi Daiyan's trusted ally. Once they hear about their home base being attacked, the forces fighting you will no doubt be affected by worry for their family back home! At the same time, you'll be attacking them with the reinforcements we'll be sending you."
"Understood." Shuntian Bohai knew that much. The plan was simple and sounded effective, but he couldn't be certain if the Central Shuntian Clan would survive the attack, nor could he be sure that the Greenhill Yushan Clan would fall. Yi Daiyan's alliance had sent a powerful army, but not an undefeatable one. What he was truly worried about was Yi Daiyan herself joining the fight! While it was easy to track the movements of a large army and its armada, who knew where she could be?
"You're worried about her, I presume," Shenxi Xingtian asked.
"That's right."
"Don't worry. You made a lot of preparations, so she won't be able to go wild like she did with the sanctlighters. "Absolutely!" The transmission stone dimmed as Shuntian Bohai left to prepare for battle. Shenxi Xingtian put the stone away and saw his son behind him.
"Dad, are you sure this tactic will work?" Shenxi Tianxi asked.
"What do you think?"
"If Yi Daiyan is hiding in her army, the Central Shuntian Clan might not hold on long enough before our reinforcements arrive. Not to mention, the three clans don't seem too committed to sending reinforcements. They may have agreed, but they seem a bit slow in deploying their troops."
"Hehe.... They're still wavering. The demise of the sanctlighters terrified them, so they’re still hesitating about whether to fight or surrender. I knew that those fools weren't reliable, including the Central Shuntian Clan. If they hadn’t been designated as the next target, they’d be just as hesitant to reinforce their allies.
