As the driver looked on with surprise, Mido ran up to the bus and, holding the door open, said to

Peters, please calm down!”

“Calm down?” Adrian glared at Mido, “This won’t be forgiven.

Your family will now pay the price! Wait and see!”

Mido quickly interjected, “Mr.

Peters, listen to me.

My father has always been a stubborn man.

Please give me some time to persuade him and I will be sure to get you an answer you will find
satisfactory!”

Adrian responded disdainfully, “Come on, Mido, think of your father’s character.

I know very well that the only way you could persuade him would be if you, not he, were the head of the
Elms family! Since he is still unwilling to pass the throne to you although he is in his 80s, he obviously
distrusts your ability to lead the family! Since he doesn’t trust you, what makes you think he will listen to
your advice?”

Mido was embarrassed by Adrian’s words.

But, while harsh, his words were not entirely unreasonable.
