Chapter 17

We arrived at 3:30 in the morning, at the Acqualina resort in Miami.

My eyes were closing as Sin helped me out of the car, his arms gripping my forearm in a tight...almost
protective hold.

"I'm tired." I mumbled.

He breathed out a chuckle as we walked into the lobby, "I know suka, just a little further."

"Don't...call me, that." I grumbled.

A middle aged woman greeted us at the front desk, and I did my very best to give the impression of a
conscious human girl.

"Hi, what can I get for you?" She asked, rubbing her bright red lipstick covered lips together.

"Three rooms, presidential suite, and the two rooms on either side, thank you." He said as he re-
adjusted his arm around me, normally I would have swatted his arms away, but I was just too damn
tired.

"Of course, and what name shall these rooms be under?"

"Solvact."

Her eyes widened, I guess his name was well known or something.

"Yes Mr. Solvact, and please Welcome to Miami, it's great to have you back." She bowed her head and
slumped a little lower as she handed him three different envelopes filled with room keys.

The lobby was decorated an aqua color, with this cool under water theme, I noticed.



Sin practically carried me upstairs and into the room, which I assumed was the presidential suite. He
lifted me off the ground to lay me on the bed.

"You got me the presidential suite, just for me? Your so sweet." I mumbled in a groggy tone.

He turned to me, a smirk plastered on his devastatingly handsome face, "That's cute Suka, this suite is
for us. The ones next to us are for Slayer and Xavier. I need to keep my eye on you."

I groaned but didn't argue, I didn't quite have it in me.

"Is this my bed?" I asked with a sleepy smile.

He laughed, "I guess so, now get some sleep."

He doesn't need to tell me twice, the second my head hit the pillow I was out, sleep had officially, and
finally...consumed me.

The next morning I awoke with a jolt of life, live someone was giving me CPR, I shot up in bed.

I looked over at the clock and it read 7:25, that's too damn early.

I grabbed some clothes from my bag that was set by the bed and took a sweet smelling shower.



They had real name brands (unlike in NYC) and I came out of there smelling- and feeling, like a million
bucks.

I dressed in a black half-shirt, that showed my bony stomach, and a pair of black ruffled shorts.

I put on light makeup and combed my long red hair down, I hadn't realized that it had gotten so long. It
nearly went all the way to my waist.

I walked out of the shower to see myself looking at the back of a shirtless Sin.

Holy Fucking shit. He was a sexy motherfucker.

He was ripped beyond belief, his skin perfectly sculpted.

As if feeling my stare on him he turned around, and looked at my attire.

"Morning." I said as I walked past him and walked over to the porch.

I could feel his eyes burning into my back- and possibly my ass.

The View was amazing, and beach front, though I knew the possibilities of us being able to go the to
beach were very slim.

I watched as I saw families, amd girls my age running around the beach, laughing and splashing each
other with the water, even though it was almost winter.

I watched as they were all smiling, and realized that I couldn't find a single unhappy person, and it
made me wish that I was like them. That I could just go down there with my nonexistent friends and
have the time of my life, with nothing to worry about.

But that's exactly what's not going to happen, instead I'm involved with the Russian and Italian Mafia,
and the CIA. Great. I am the fartheat thing from those happy people on the beach.



"Enjoying the view?" The all too farmiliar voice came from behind me. I turned and smiled, "It's really
pretty."

He had finally put on a tight black shirt, his eyes were more alert than last night, they're ice blue was
shimmering.

"When are Slayer and Xavier going to be here?" I asked.

"Oh, they got in early this morning. they're setting up cameras in the hallway."

The only person I was happy to see was Xavier, considering he was the only one who had been half
decent to me.

I ran out into the hallway, he was climbing down from a ladder...so I did the only thing logical in this
moment of time. I jumped into his arms.

Wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck I laughed.

"Whoa haha, What's this for?" He asked with a laugh as he wrapped his hands around my back, giving
me a tight squeeze.

I untangled myself from him and smiled up at his handsome face, "Two things, One because your the
only nice one, and two because you practically saved me in New York."

He grinned, "Oh that's right, well thanks lyubov."

I smiled a little, "Pozhaluysta" (You're Welcome)

"What's up with the cameras?" I asked as I looked down the endless hallway, There were the grey
older hotel cameras, and then there were these black circular high tech Mafia cameras.



"Rumors say the Italian Mafia is in town." Xavier looked at me and shrugged "They got in a little after
you did early this morning."

My eyes went wide "They're here?!"

Sin walked out in the hall way and gave Xavier the death glare, "yebat' golovu!" He yelled at him.

I frowned, "Sin, I need to know these things, and for fucking Christ sakes I can handle myself."

Sin shrugged, "These guys are dangerous." He looked over to Xavier "You couldn't just keep your
fucking mouth closed?"

"She has a right to know!" He shot back, but kept his mouth closed.

"Well" A new voice came from behind me and I turned to see Slayer, He gave me an evil wink. "If those
Italian shits want to come anywhere near us were prepared. We have Cameras all through the inside
and outside of this hotel, also Nikolai and his men are in town, Well have reinforcements."

Sin's eyebrows shot up, "Nikolai is...here?"

Slayer nodded slowly, "He wanted to see what all of this was about." All of there eyes went to me.

"Okay two things...number one, I shouldn't be the cause of all of this, all I did was beat Viktor up
because...well you know, and two , who the Hell is Nikolai?"

"My cousin." Sin shrugged.

"Your...cousin?" I asked with a curious glance.

"Yeah" Slayer said and gave me another wink "And he really wants to meet you."
