” With that, Lorelai was dragged out by Nico and William.

Nico turned and went into the garden.

When he came back in, he had a few thin branches in his hands.

“Give her fifty strikes first.

We’ll start questioning her after that,” Gwendolyn said coldly.

” Nico put the branches on the coffee table, picked one from the pile, and began hitting Evelyn.

Sharp sounds resonated in the air continuously, and the atmosphere in the once-silent living room
became even more tense.

It looked as though he was an emotionless machine made to punish people.

Nico’s ruthlessness and lay on the floor due to the uncontrollable pain.

She curled into a ball and used her arms to protect her head.

Gwendolyn watched from afar.

Evelyn was one tough cookie for she was shaking from the pain but she did not cry nor beg.

“Nico, your skills seem to have deteriorated already.

Why don’t I hear her cry? Are you being lenient to her?” Gwendolyn asked with a raised brow and cold
