Chapter 19 Tommy Saves the Day

One Sunday Morning, Kendra was still lying on the bed at her apartment staring at the window
suddenly somebody was knocking at her door hardly. " Who is that? I am coming." Kendra stood up
going near the door to open it up. Then the owner of her apartment showed up her face. "When will you
pay your rent for last month and this month its due already?You cant have an excuse again because I
already gave you more time for you to find ways to pay your rent. The owner angrily said standing
infront of the door. " Oh, I am so sorry for the delays but I promise that I can pay you by the end of this
month. I have got too much on my plate now and I forgot this matter. I sincerely apologize. Kendra
calmly explained to the owner with her soft voice but the owner was so angry and kept shouting at
Kendra's face. "No, I wont listen to you anymore. You have to pay right now or else you pack your
stuffs and leave this apartment right away!" The apartment owner demanded. " As in Now?"Kendra
asked starting to be annoyed with the owner. "Yes, Are you deaf?Come on Kendra business is
business. I have no mercy for so many excuses. If you cant pay your rent on time better leave this
place and find a new one." Apartment owner insisted with her high tone of voice then a tall handsome
man wearing black shirt interrupted their conversation."Excuse me, If you dont mind. Are you the owner
of this apartment? Hi, I am Tommy Kesler. I want to ask how much all in all the rental fee of Ms. Kendra
from the last month until this month. Tommy smilingly asked then Kendra and the owner both stopped
talking and looked at the man. Kendra was so shocked as she could not even say anything and
wondering how this Tommy guy knew about where she is staying. " Oh , so are you the knight shining
armor of Kendra?She is not paying her rent since last month so if she cant give me the payment now,
she has to leave right away." The apartment owner shoutingly said again and again. Tommy put out
2000k dollars from his wallet and gave it to the owner of the apartment. " Here, take this 2000k dollars
her last month, this month and next month rental fee. What do you say now? Are we done?Could you
just please leave Kendra alone?" Tommy curtly replied to the owner as he started to get annoyed on
her shouting voice." Good! At least I wont be stressful again especially to Kendra." The owner said with
a big eyes looking at Kendra face as the owner took the money for the rental fee and left. Kendra still
shocked of what Tommy did while lookingat him again in front of the door. "Are you not going to ask me



to enter your apartment?" Tommy smilingly asked the shocking Kendra." Ah..Come in.. Have a seat. Do
you want something to drink like water, juice or coffee or you wanted something to eat?" Kendra
wonderedly offered beverages and foods to Tommy while walking back and forth infront of Tommy.
"Hey, Relax! It is okay now. Your owner wont bother you again. Water is fine for me. Your apartment is
not bad. Are you staying here alone?" Tommy asked and looking around Kendra's apartment while
Kendra starting to cook for their lunch in the kitchen." Yeah, I am staying here alone for a year now. You
surprised me seriously. I am going to cook now for our lunch. You eat lunch here, okay?" Kendra
replied calmly to Tommy. Kendra had finished cooking and brought some plates, glasses and the
dishes on the table. "Wow, It looks delicious. You surprised me now that you can cook. I thought from
the firstime I saw you and looked at you as if you never cook. You look like a very rich woman who
never knows the household chores." Tommy was chuckling saying his first impression to Kendra and
started eating." Looks can be deceiving so never judge the person from their looks nextime." Kendra
laughingly responded to Tommy. Both were having fun talking each other while eating. Time was so
fast for both. Lunch had finished and both went to the terrace for a coffee and some small bites that
Kendra prepared as they continued their conversation. After so much things to talk about each other. It
was almost late afternoon. The Sun starting to go down, then Kendra came up so much questions on
her mind to Tommy." By the way, how did you know where I am staying? Are you stalking me?Who
gave you my address?"Kendra kept throwing questions and wondering to Tommy while sipping her
coffee. She didnt know how would she feel to Tommy if she had to be scared or happy of what Tommy
did." Did I scare you?You didnt expect that I showed up infront of your door. I understand. I got your
address from Sussy where she got it from your record at the airport. I wanted to surprise and see you
in person today because I have got an emergency from Dubai and I have to leave tonight.I am here to
say goodbye for now and see you again soon. I wont be staying there for so long might as well to see
you by this end of the month or next month."Tommy smilingly explained to Kendra his reason of
showing up with no permission suddenly Kendra was laughing out loud as she could not stop to laugh
thinking that Tommy Kesler is truly crazy. " Ha ha ha, I am sorry I could not stop laughing. Why are you
asking permission to me?You are not even my boyfriend not even a husband. You are totally crazy



Tommy. Dont tell me that I owed you because of your 2000k dollars that you gave to the owner of this
apartment. Dont worry by this end of the month, I am going to return it to you. I ve been just very busy
since the day of my graduation up to these days."Kendra smilingly explained to Tommy. "Oh, you dont
need to pay it. You dont owe me anything. It's just fine. 2000k dolllars is nothing for me. Just focus on
what you are doing right now and dont bother yourself to pay it. Yeah, I am neither your boyfriend nor
husband but its my pleasure to help you. I am happy doing that for you. Kendra I wanted to know you
more. Allow me to just express how I feel for you until the time you can accept me into your life."
Tommy seriously said his emotion to Kendra. Kendra was wondering and could not understand Tommy
well. " Are you rich? Why dont you want me to pay you back? and Where did you get those lines?I
have no time for this. Anyways, thank you for saving my day to the owner of this apartment. I am not
comfortable to have debt of gratitude to anyone so let me pay you until the time that you come back
here and see you again." Kendra started to feel uncomfortable to Tommy because of his action that he
was showing as she pretended to be just normal in front of him. " Oh okay, but I insist no need to pay
me Kendra, and let me show you to express how I feel." Tommy smilingly insisted and said again how
he wanted to express his feelings to Kendra."Seriously?Well if you insisted its up to you. Lets see what
happens. I think its getting late now. Are you not going to be late on your flight?" Kendra suddenly
asked.Tommy looked at his watch what time was it."Oh.oh...shit! I think not, I will be still on time
because my flight will be at 11:45 pm but I have to go now." Tommy said and rushingly going out of
Kendra's apartment. Kendra was looking at him up to the way out of the apartment. Tommy suddenly
stop walking. He turned back and went to Kendra for the lastime to kiss her right cheek good
night.Tommy gently put his mouth to Kendra's right ear and whispered." Good night Kendra, I will call
you and thank you for your delicious lunch and snack." then Tommy Kesler rushingly walking out the
apartment. Kendra was still standing infront of her apartment door wondering and thinking that Tommy
is truly crazy. She could not understand Tommy very well as she never experienced that feeling yet of
what Tommy was saying before Love at first sight to her.
