his face. “Why are you still here? Don't you have work to do?”

“Are you really going to have dinner with Ms. Light tonight?” I asked sullenly as I looked into his eyes.

“Is there a problem?”

Michael raised his eyebrows and gave me a puzzled look.



“Isn't it inappropriate for you to have dinner with another woman when you already have a girlfriend?

I trailed off. I was afraid that Michael could hear it in my voice, then he would be able to tell that I had
fallen for him.

“Are you jealous, Anna?”

Michael sneered at me and his face cracked into a smile.

“No, I'm not. I just think that you shouldn't go,” I lowered my head and answered reluctantly.

I had no idea why Michael was treating me this way. What if I said what was on my mind? That would
