Chapter 2: Even Being Inferior to a Dog

In the next instant, he raised his hand and used all his strength to push Rebecca away.

"Ah!"

Rebecca screamed as she stumbled backward and heavily fell to the ground.

"Who the hell are you? What do you want from me?"

Adam struggled to sit up and stared fiercely at Rebecca.

"Mrs.William, what's wrong with you?"

The nurse who was walking in the hallway heard the sound and rushed in.

Hearing the nurse's words, Adam knitted his eyebrows.

"Mr.William, you finally woke up!"

The nurse's eyes widened in shock when she saw Adam sitting on the bed.

"Who is she?"

Adam pointed at Rebecca and asked coldly.

"She...She's your wife!"

The nurse stuttered.

Adam's face instantly sank, which frightened the nurse.



Rebecca endured the great pain in her back and stood up with the help of the table.

She then looked at Adam right there and mumbled, "Adam, please listen to me..."

"Shut up!"

Adam bellowed angrily, "Where's my phone? Give it to me.’

"I...I don't know.But you can use mine!"

Rebecca said timidly.

Adam directly took it over and dialed a number.

"Hello, This is Linda‘ A soft female voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Linda, it's me."

"Adam...where are you? I miss you so much.They didn't allow me to see you and hid anything about
you from me.I couldn't find or contact you.Adam, don't you love me anymore..."

Sobbing could be heard from the phone.

"Yes, I love you.Linda, tell me where you are now.I'll go to you immediately:"

"Okay, I'm at our home."

"Wait for me."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Adam got out of bed and stumbled barefoot out of the room.



"Mr.William..."

"Shut up! Get out of my way’' Adam glared at the nurse in front of him.

The nurse shuddered and stepped aside.

"Adam, give the phone back to me!"

Rebecca shouted as she chased after him.Adam then flung the phone back without looking back.

In William's villa.

"Where is Adam? Why didn't you follow him out? Even a dog knows to follow its master.You're really a
good-for-nothing! I shouldn't have allowed you to marry into our family."

Adam's mother, Julia, was scolding Rebecca who was standing quietly with her head down.

Arthur, who was pulling a long face, took a deep breath and sighed, "Rebecca, as Adam's wife, you
should keep an eye on him and don't let him have anything to do with other women.’

Rebecca then looked up at Arthur who was sitting on the sofa and nodded, "Dad, I see.I'll try my best."

"Good, have a seat,’ Arthur said softly.

In fact, he knew very well that Rebecca could not win Adam's heart now and forever.

Besides, as a girl of humble origin, she didn't deserve to be a member of the William Family.It was
expedient to let her marry Adam.

Rebecca shook her head.Julia took an upset glance at Rebecca.

"Master, Adam has been found."

At this moment, the butler hurried in.

"Where is he?"

Julia stood up immediately and looked out excitedly.

"He'll be back soon-"

Julia nodded happily.

dinner.We'll have dinner as soon as Adam arrives.’

"Yes, Madam."

The butler then ran towards the kitchen.

After a while, a black Bentley slowly drove into the mansion.

Aman wearing a pair of slippers stepped out of the car as the door opened.

"Adam, where did you go? Are you alright now? We were so worried about you."

When Julia saw Adam get out of the car, she hurriedly walked out, followed by Arthur and Rebecca.

"Mom, I'm fine.Don't worry!"

"Good, let's come in."



Julia took Adam's hand and walked into the living room joyfully.

Adam didn't even bother to take a look at Rebecca and Arthur as he passed them.

Arthur glanced at Rebecca and said, "Let's go in!"

"Yes, Dad."

Rebecca nodded and followed Arthur into the house.

"Why did you suddenly leave the hospital shortly after waking up? Do you know how worried I was? I
really..."

"Mom, I'm going upstairs to take a shower and change my clothes.’ Adam interrupted Julia because he
was not in the mood.

"Okay, you should take a good bath to get rid of all the bad luck."

Julia smiled lovingly.

But when she saw Rebecca coming in, she instantly darkened her face and said to her coldly, "Go
upstairs and prepare the bathwater for Adam now!"

"Yes,"

Rebecca replied and hurriedly followed Adam upstairs.

Hearing the sound behind him, Adam stopped his steps and abruptly looked back at Rebecca.

"I've heard from my driver that it was you who saved me.But sorry, I have no feelings for you.So don't
get close to me anymore.This is my last warning,’’ Adam said in a low voice when looking into her



eyes.

She couldn't help but feel frightened by his chilling gaze, and then she immediately looked down.

Seeing her response, Adam frowned slightly and then continued to walk towards his room.

Despite bitterness in her heart, Rebecca still followed him quietly after a while of hesitation.

Just as she was about to enter Adam's room, she was pushed out.

"Didn't you hear my warning? Get out of my room,’ Adam shouted angrily.

Rebecca was shuddering with fear.She didn't even dare to raise her head.

"Adam, I..."

"Don't call me that.We are not that close.Get out of my sight, now!"

Adam said coldly as he slammed the door.

The sound was so deafening that she was in a daze.

Half an hour later, Adam finished his shower and walked out of the room, only to see Rebecca
crouching at the door with her back against the door frame.

However, after taking a cold glance at her, Adam just passed her and went downstairs.

"Adam."

Rebecca grabbed Adam's hand.

"Don't touch me!"



Adam turned around and snapped at her.

Rebecca plucked up the courage to look into his eyes.

"Adam, please don't be so cold to me.I'm your official wife, anyway.’

Hearing her words, Adam wore a cold smile on his face.

"I've told you that I have no feelings for you.I have never agreed to the marriage.So behave
yourself.Otherwise, I won't let you £0."

He then turned around and went downstairs, leaving Rebecca sobbing alone there…
