Adam held Linda's hand and turned to look at Rebecca, his eyes cold.

"Apologize to Linda.’ Rebecca stared at him, then at Linda, and her lips twitched.

"Miss Green..."

"There's no need to do that."

Just as Rebecca was about to speak, Linda interrupted her.

"Adam, Rebecca simply told me the truth and didn't say anything harsh.Besides, she's going to live
with us in the future.Even if I didn’t know about her relationship with you today, I would know about it in
the future.So, don't blame her.’’

"Apologize!"

Adam ignored Linda and ordered Rebecca coldly.

"Miss Green, it's my fault today.I'm jealous.I'm jealous of Adam's love for you and his kindness to you,
and that was why I said some harsh words to you uncontrollably.Since you already knew that I'm
nothing but the daughter-in-law bought by Mr.Williams, and that the one Adam really wants to marry is
always you, please forgive me!"

Staring at Linda, Rebecca made a sincere and cordial apology, but even she herself didn't know
whether her apology was heartfelt or false.

Rebecca was never good at lying, but somehow, she found it rather easy to lie ever since she had
become Adam's fake and invisible wife.

This might be her talent, which was never discovered before!



"Just jealousy? Mm-hmm.’

Adam seemed dissatisfied with Rebecca's sincerity and asked coldly.

"Adam, that's enough.After all, Rebecca is in a difficult situation.’ Linda raised her hand to stroke
Adam's chest immediately and spoke up for Rebecca.

Then she smiled kindly and generously at her.

"Rebecca, it's okay.Actually, I don't blame you.I was just surprised and sad when I found out Adam
married someone else! Now that everything is clear and we have to live together in the future, let's not
hold any grudges against each other from now on, okay?"

Rebecca nodded and smiled.

After that, Adam took Linda's hand, turned around and strode towards the apartment, leaving Rebecca
alone.

Watching the two entering the apartment with their hands clasped together and slammed the door shut,
Rebecca smiled with her head down and turned to walk towards the elevator.

When Rebecca returned to the teaching building, the first session of the class was already over.

During the break, many students stood outside the classroom, waiting for the second session.

"Hey, Rebecca, where did you go? The professor just named you to answer the question, but the
moment I stood up, he recognized me."



Caroline ran over to Rebecca immediately at the sight of her and said with a gloomy face.

Justin happened to be smoking in the corner.

Seeing them, he walked over with a smile and joked, "Apparently, you two don't share the same body
type.How couldn't the professor tell?"

Caroline was nearly 65 kilograms, while Rebecca was just over 50 kilograms, and a few centimeters
taller than Caroline.

Therefore, anyone with eyes could distinguish one from the other.

Caroline darted a glance at Justin.

Damn! Now Caroline felt more depressed.

"When did you start smoking?"

Looking at Justin, Rebecca noticed the glowing cigarette between his fingers.

Justin gave a smile.

"If you don't like it, I'll quit it.'' As he spoke, Justin walked to the trash can and pressed the rest half of

lately.Something's wrong,"

Caroline went on asking after poking Rebecca gently.



Rebecca smiled carelessly.

"It's a personal affair, but it's all settled.It's okay now:"

"What kind of personal affair?"

Caroline was quite gossipy but she did care about Rebecca, so she couldn't help but make a detailed
inquiry.

"Well..."

"Is it related to Adam?"

Rebecca was still trying to make an excuse to fool Caroline, but before she could come up with an
idea, Justin asked from the side.

Justin saw the caller ID on her phone clearly from behind.

Rebecca cast a look at Justin.

"Adam?!"

Caroline got excited.

"Rebecca, do you really know Adam?"

Rebecca stared at Caroline, thought for a moment with a frown, and nodded.

"Well, kind of.I met him by chance during the summer vacation."

"Rebecca, are you free to do a part-time job on the weekend?"

Justin chimed in again before Caroline finished her words.

He knew that Rebecca had always been earning money by doing several part-time jobs at the same
time.

"Yes, I am.Is there any good chance?"

Rebecca became interested at once.

Justin was beaming.

"Working as a tutor in one of my relatives”

“She's a 14-year-old little girl who is in the eighth grade.She doesn't do well and is quite spoilt, but the
pay is good."

Rebecca smiled.

"So that's your cousin.Why don't you do it yourself?"

"Well!"

Justin looked away and chuckled.

"Do you think I can be a tutor?"

Rebecca raised her eyebrows.

"Okay, I'll think about it"



Just at this moment, the bell rang for class.

Smiling, Justin raised his hand, put his arm around Rebecca's shoulders with studied casualness, and
walked into the classroom.

Rebecca glanced sideways at the big hand on her shoulder and gave it a slap.

Justin smiled and drew back his arm.

At noon, Rebecca and Caroline went to the canteen to have lunch, while Justin followed them.

"Rebecca, did you know that Linda got to stay in college for work after graduation?"

As soon as she got the food and sat down, Caroline stuffed a piece of meat into her mouth and
dropped the bomb.

Rebecca was stunned, and her hand paused.

Justin was standing next to them, and saw Rebecca's reaction distinctly.

"Where did you learn the gossip? Is the source reliable?"

Watching Rebecca's reaction, Justin sat down beside her quietly and asked Caroline.

Caroline looked confident.

"Of course it’s reliable.The other day I went to art college and happened to meet the dean in the
elevator.I heard it from him." Justin smiled and took a mouthful of rice.

"That's not surprising at all, because her boyfriend is Adam, right?" Caroline nodded.



"Well, that's true, but even if she stays, she shouldn't be able to be a lecturer right away.She should be
an instructor or something first."

New York University was one of the top universities in the country, and those who were able to give
lectures at New York University weren't ordinary people.

Hearing them, Rebecca twitched her lips, lowered her head, and focused on eating.

She didn't join the discussion from beginning to end, but she was the only one who knew clearly what it
meant by Linda getting to stay in college.

No wonder Adam chose to live near New York University when Linda spent little time in college as a
third-year graduate student.
