When Adam returned to Skyline No.1 after dinner, it was around 10 p.m.

He unlocked the fingerprint lock, and then he saw Linda sleeping on the sofa in the living room.

Rebecca was not there.

Adam knew where she was.

She must be in her own room.

With a sigh, Adam closed the door behind him, changed his shoes, and then walked to the living room.

"Adam..."

Linda seemed to be woken up.

She sat straight and looked at Adam, face bathed in tears.

And her voice was trembling.

When Adam saw her tear streaked face and red, swollen eyes, he immediately strode over, frowning.

"What's wrong?"

"Adam..."

Linda looked at Adam and burst into tears again.

"Adam..."

Adam went over and immediately grabbed Linda's hand on the armrest of the sofa.



"What's wrong? What happened to your hand?"

Linda looked at the back of her hand and cried even harder.

She said while sobbing, "It was accidentally scalded!"

Adam's anger boiled in his dark eyes, and he asked in a deep voice, gnashing his teeth, "Rebecca did
that to you?!"

Linda nodded.

"I don't think she did it on purpose.’’

Adam sneered, but he didn't even know why he was sneering.

The next second, he let go of Linda’s hand and rushed towards ebecca's room.Linda sat on the sofa.

She was confused, not knowing why Adam was furious.

Shouldn't Adam take her to the hospital? Why was he looking for Rebecca?

"Bang!"

Rushing to Rebecca's room, Adam pushed the door open and roared, "Rebecca, get out!"

Sitting on the sofa in front of the French window, Rebecca, who was staring blankly at the night scene,
was frightened by the sound.

She turned around trembling and saw the furious man standing at the door.

Alas! Rebecca sighed, put down her pen, and walked towards the door.

Adam stared at Rebecca with dark, angry eyes which seemed to be able to pierce her.



Just as Rebecca was two steps away from him, he reached to grab Rebecca's wrist and dragged her
towards the living room.

When they came to the sofa, Adam threw Rebecca away.

Rebecca was mentally prepared, but she still staggered and bumped into the sofa.

"Tell me, why did you burn Linda? You wanna take revenge?!"

Adam pointed at Linda's red, blistered hand and questioned Rebecca like a roaring beast.

Rebecca glanced at the back of Linda's hand and frowned.

How could that be? When the soup spilled on Linda's hand, the back of her hand was only slightly red.

Why did her hand even blister? Unless...Thinking of Linda's cruelty to herself, Rebecca lowered her
head and forced a bitter smile without saying anything.

"What do you mean?"

Seeing that Rebecca just smiled, Adam was enraged.

He was almost shouting at her, "Rebecca, what do you mean? Why did you scald Linda? Tell me!"

Rebecca looked at him quietly, calmly, and almost indifferently.

Her voice was low but was not aggrieved.

She didn't deny but only said without any emotion, "Adam, what do you want me to say? I'm convinced
by your words."

Adam stared at her with angry black eyes.



At this moment, he really had the intention to strangle her.

He wanted Rebecca to tell him that she didn't scald Linda on purpose.

Even if Rebecca said that Linda deliberately frame her, he was willing to believe her.

However, why didn't she explain? Adam hated to see that! He hated to see Rebecca proud and aloof in
front of him and treat him as a fool!

"Adam, don't blame Rebecca.She wasn't on purpose.It was my fault.I asked Rebecca to serve me the
soup myself.If I didn't."

"Let's go to the hospital!"

Linda looked at Adam and vaguely noticed that something was wrong with him.

She was pretending to be kind, but Adam suddenly interrupted her and led her out.

"Adam, it hurts!"

Linda said coquettishly to him.

Adam stopped and turned around.

Then, without hesitation, he carried Linda in his arms and strode out.

Rebecca stood there and watched Adam carry Linda out with a sigh.

Then she went back to her room.

Did she really love Adam? Did she still love Adam now? If she loved him, would she stop loving him?
‘Rebecca, don't regret it.



Don't regret it!’ She thought to herself.
