Chapter 9: The "Evil " Rebecca

"Don't approach me.Go to the bed and sleep there"

Adam said seriously as he found the footsteps got closer and closer to himself.

He had calmed down and accepted this situation now.

"OK,’ Rebecca replied softly.

She then immediately lay down on the bed and fell asleep soon.

Adam stood up from the sofa and walked over to the bed.

"She's sleeping so soundly! Humph!"Adam snorted.

He really wanted to throw her out but ended up giving up the idea.

The next morning, Rebecca was awakened by the coldness.

When she opened her eyes, she saw a man lying on the sofa not far away.

It was Adam.

Rebecca then got up, opened the door and went out quietly.

At 7 o'clock, Adam finally woke up.

He then went downstairs and worked out in the training room.

When he looked out of the window, he saw Rebecca speaking something with earphones in her ears.

At this time, the butler came in with a bottle of water and respectfully handed it to Adam.



"Adam, please have some water!"

"What is she practicing?"

Adam asked subconsciously.

"A foreign language.But I don't what language it is," the butler said with a smile.

Adam glanced at the butler and said nothing more.

"It is said that she is more excellent than you.She's a postgraduate student of the School of Economics
at New York University, an elite university nationwide.Besides, she's studying for two degrees," the
butler added.

"Really? Two degrees?"

Adam frowned slightly and handed the bottle to the butler.

"You can leave now!"

"Yes, sir.’’ The butler took the bottle and left respectfully.

In the garden, Rebecca suddenly felt that Adam was looking at her, so she turned her head and looked
over.

When their eyes met, Rebecca was nervous.

But the next second, she walked away.

At breakfast, Arthur and Adam were unusually quiet.

Even Julia did not say a word.



When everyone almost finished breakfast, Rebecca stood up and spoke first, "I'm going to school"

Arthur took the warm towel, wiped his mouth and nodded.

"OK” ask the driver to take you to school

"Dad, there is no need.’ Rebecca refused subconsciously.

"I can walk to the bus station and take a bus."

"Arrange a car for Rebecca.’ However, Arthur did not listen to Rebecca's words.

"Yes, sir"

The butler nodded and immediately went out.

Arthur added, "When you graduate, you'll be able to work in Adam's company and help him run the
company.’

"Thanks, Dad"

Rebecca nodded, although she knew that it was impossible.

A faint sneer appeared on Adam's lips at this time, but soon, it disappeared.

"You can leave now.Don't be late for class," Arthur said.

Rebecca nodded and turned to leave.

Julia then couldn't help but put on an unhappy look.

"Arthur, do you really want Rebecca to be our daughter-in-law and work in our company?"



Arthur looked up at Julia and asked, "Don't you think she is excellent enough?"

"But she's from an ordinary family.How can she be Adam's wife?" Julia was a little angry.

"Then who do you think matches your son? Linda?"

Arthur's face darkened.

Just as Arthur finished speaking, Adam slammed chopsticks on the table, stood up from the chair, and
looked down at Arthur, "Dad, I'll repeat it.In my life, I will only marry Linda."

Adam then turned around and left.

Seeing Adam being so resolute for a woman, Arthur was angrier.

"Then let's see who will win."

When Rebecca was about to enter the gate of the school, she suddenly noticed that a silver Bugatti
sports car was parked there.

She saw Adam and Linda when the car window was rolled down.

‘They look so intimate: She suddenly recalled that Adam had bought a box of condoms yesterday and
twitched her mouth despite herself.

Then she continued walking in as if she had seen nothing.

"Look, it's Linda and Adam.It turns out that they're really dating now.Wow, I'm so envious!"

Immediately, a scream came into Rebecca's ear.

"Me too.I thought the post last night was fake.I didn't expect that Rebecca was so evil!"



"Hey, look, that's Rebecca.She's from the School of Economics!"

can't believe she wanted to kill Linda because of jealousy."

that a kind doctor killed his wife and children.’ Rebecca immediately turned her head and looked over.

One girl who was discussing Rebecca noticed that Rebecca was looking at her.

Out of fear, she immediately walked faster with her friends.

"Let's walk faster.Otherwise, we can't get good seats."

Rebecca frowned in confusion.

'l want to kill Linda out of jealousy? What the hell are they talking about?"

She didn't know what had happened until Caroline showed her the top post on the school forum.

Yesterday, Adam asked her to post an apology letter on the forum, but she didn't take it seriously.

Now, the top post wasn't written by her.Obviously, someone wanted to slander me.

"Rebecca, you really don't care who did this to you?"

Caroline asked angrily.

Rebecca sighed and bit her lips as if she was thinking about it seriously.

"Then what else can I do? The mastermind behind this must be powerful."

"So you just let it go?"



"The more I care about it, the happier the mastermind is.So, I'd better let it go."

"Well, it's reasonable in a sense! But aren't you afraid that he'll do anything worse to you?" Rebecca
smiled.

"Then I'll play it by ear’

"Fine!"

Caroline could only give up.

Then they went directly to the teaching building together…
