Chapter 50

They got in the car and Mark drove away, and then Rebecca looked up at the sky and took a deep
breath.

The weather today was really good.

The sky was cloudless and deep-blue.

After taking a deep breath, she turned to walk into the room, but her eyes met with Adam's.

He was standing at the door with his hands in his pockets, staring at her expressionlessly.

Rebecca glanced at him but quickly looked away from him without any emotion, and then walked into
the house.

Rebecca's phone vibrated in her pocket.

She stopped and took out her phone.

It was her teacher, Samuel calling, and she immediately answered the call.

"Good morning, Mr.Talty."

"Good morning, Rebecca.I didn't wake you up, did I?"

Rebecca smiled, "No."

"Well, I'm going on a business trip today, but the student who was supposed to go with me has an
important interview.I wonder if you can go with me.Are you busy? You don't have to worry about your
lessons.You can have extra lessons when we get back." Samuel asked.

Mr.Talty only had one student a school year.



Rebecca was in her second year of grad school, and Mr.Talty had another student in his third year of
grad school, who couldn't go with him.

Rebecca held her phone and asked after thinking for a while, "Mr.Talty, when could we come back?"

"It's a three-day business trip.We'll leave this morning and come back at noon on Wednesday.If you
can go with me, pack up and come to the airport now.I'll get someone to book the ticket for you."

Rebecca was silent and then she suddenly looked at Adam who was not far away.Their eyes met
again.

"Rebecca, this is a good opportunity for you.It will be very helpful to your development.You may know
many business tycoons.You can benefit from the trip.’’

Noticing Smith's hesitation, Samuel persuaded her.Rebecca and Adam looked at each other.

She had thought that she should ask for his opinion before giving Mr.Talty the answer, but somehow
she didn't want to do that.

She immediately agreed, "Okay, Mr.Talty, I'll pack up and go to the airport now.”

"Okay, I'll wait for you at the airport"

"Yes."

After hanging up the phone, Rebecca walked straight into the house.

Adam was still standing still and looking at Rebecca.

When Rebecca walked past him, she paused.

She was hesitating whether to tell him that she was going on a business trip with her professor.



But seconds later, she didn't want to say anything and continued walking away.

Because she felt that it was totally unnecessary.

Nobody cared!However, when she was about to walk past Adam, her wrist was grabbed by a warm big
palm.

Rebecca thought that Adam would ask her where she was going.

However, Adam looked at her and said, "I heard that my father gave you 500,000 dollars.You gave it to
the Smith Family, right?"

Rebecca tilted to look at him and sneered.

And then she said, "Yes.Can't I?"

Adam's eyes were fixed on her, and his black eyes gradually became cold, filled up with anger and
rage.

The next second, he let go of her and strode towards the dining room.

Adam felt that he must have been out of his mind.

The moment he held Rebecca's wrist, he was thinking about asking where she was going.

However, the second before he spoke, he suddenly changed his mind.

Indeed, he was out of his mind because of Rebecca! Rebecca went upstairs to pack up.

Rebecca went downstairs with the suitcase.

Adam and Julia were having their breakfast in the dining room.

She put down her suitcase and walked over to tell Julia about her trip.

Although Julia never regarded her as a member of the Williams Family, it didn't mean that she could
ignore Julia.

Julia was Adam's mother, so Rebecca tolerated her.

If she wasn't an elder to her, she wouldn't allow Julia to bully her.

"Mom, my professor called me and asked me to go on a business trip with him.I won't eat breakfast.I
have to go now.Enjoy your breakfast.’ Rebecca stood at the table and politely said to Julia.

"Humph!"

Julia snorted disdainfully.

"I don't care where you're going.It's none of my business." Rebecca forced a smile.

Without saying anything, she turned around and left.



From the moment she walked into the dining room to the moment she left, Adam had been eating
breakfast with his head down.

He did not look at her at all.

They were going to attend the summit forum of the top 500 enterprises.

She had already read the relevant news reports.

And Arthur and Justin's parents were not in New York.

She thought they must have gone to participate in this summit forum too.

In fact, it was really a rare chance to participate in such a high- end and large-scale enterprise summit
forum.
