Chapter 498

Way Too Abnormal

That night, Rosalie and the boys did not sleep well.

Rosalie’s mind was filled with the thought of Byron having mentioned her in the group chat, and the fact
that they were going to be working together to perform Sleeping Beauty. Her heart was in great turmoil.

The boys had been worried the entire night; they were afraid that Rosalie would regret participating in
the event.

The next morning, Rosalie saw two “little pandas” waiting at her door the moment she came out.

Seeing the abrupt dark circles on the boys’ fair and tender faces, Rosalie frowned with surprise and
asked softly, “Where did these two little pandas come from?”

The boys raised their heads innocently. They even revealed a soft smile when they heard what she
said.

Rosalie’s heart softened again, she shook her head helplessly, ” What’s wrong? Didn’t you guys sleep
last night? Why are your dark circles so prominent?”

Saying that, she leaned over and touched the boys’ eyes in distress.

Both of them closed their eyes cooperatively and with a little bit of nervousness on their faces, they
asked in a childlike voice, ” Mommy, will you still go to the event?”

Rosalie could not help but think of Byron’s face when the anniversary celebration event was brought
up. she felt a little heavy but still gave the boys a positive answer. “Mommy will go. The principal said
the list has been confirmed and can’t be changed. The little ones nodded, relieved but still stared at
Rosalie eagerly.



She wondered if she was hallucinating but Rosalie kept feeling as if the boys were looking at her a little
apologetically.

It was just that, what did they have to be sorry to her for?

Rosalie was stared at by the boys till she was at a loss.

They both seemed very attentive during breakfast and kept scooping food onto her plate for her.

Rosalie could not help but ask after this happened a few times. “ Tell me, did you two do something bad
without telling mommy?”

Both boys’ movements came to a pause. They looked at each other nervously before shaking their
heads at Rosalie.

Rosalie looked at them suspiciously. “Then why are you being especially gracious early in the
morning?”

Their expressions showed an obvious change after she said that. They were just short on writing their
guilty conscience on their faces.

They could not possibly tell mommy that they checked the story of Sleeping Beauty without her, and
how they felt like they had sold her off for Estie which led to her having to kiss their daddy.

Seeing the boys pursing their mouths tightly as if they refused to explain anything, Rosalie became
even more suspicious, she knew she would not be able to get anything, so she ceased questioning.

The boys secretly breathed a sigh of relief and also behaved a lot more when they ate. They just buried
their heads in their food and ate.

Breakfast was taken with a good dash of suspicion.



After breakfast, Rosalie sent the boys to the kindergarten and participated in the parent-teacher
meeting to discuss the plot of the stage play by the way.

Mommy had not sent them to kindergarten for a long time. The boys were very excited during the
journey, but they were still thinking about how they were betraying their mommy and said not a word.

Seeing the boys so silent, Rosalie felt helpless.

The two of them were behaving so abnormally.

If it were last time, the boys would be chattering nonstop while she was sending them to kindergarten.

Not to mention it had been some time since she last sent them to kindergarten.

The boys should be ecstatic, but they were this quiet now that Rosalie could not suspect if they had
done something and were keeping it from her.

Still, she really could not ask them.
