Chapter 103

When Alden was growing up, Flint was in their lives almost every day.

Sometimes when his mom was busy, Uncle Flint would come over and send them to school. He would
always bring them out. Many neighbors had also misunderstood that Uncle Flint was their father. He
knew that they would return to Sea City one day, so he never dared to think about it too much.

clean up.” While Adina was more than irritated with Flint, she did not want her son to take over. She
twisted a towel as she said, “It’s late. You should go to bed now.” “Mom, Mel just said that she’s hungry.
Please cook something for her. You can leave this to me,” Alden said calmly. Clearly, Melody’s needs

Adina threw the towel aside before she went to the kitchen. Alden took the towel and pressed it
strongly on Flint’s face. Flint was intoxicated, so he had fallen asleep in a drunken stupor. However, he

nearly suffocated me?” Alden calmly said, “Uncle Flint, you’ve been in Sea City for three days. Please
go back to Anbarica tomorrow.” Due to his calm expression, Flint did not catch some of his emotions.
Flint held his dizzy head and unhappily said, “Alden, your mother hasn’t chased me away. What are
you trying to do?”





“If you stay in Sea City, you’ll cause trouble Mom. She has to work and take care of me as well as Mel.
She has too much work to do.”

“I’m sorry, Alden…” Flint instantly expressed his guilt. “What happened tonight was an accident. I
guarantee that it won’t happen again! Alden, didn’t you call me ‘Dad’? Don’t worry,

I’ll take responsibility as a father and protect you!” “I called you ‘Dad’ because I really wanted you to be
our father. But Uncle Flint, you let me down.” Alden’s face still looked calm. “You’re not good for Mom,
so you’re not good to be our father. Please leave tomorrow morning.” Flint was totally stunned.
Although he had always talked about marrying Adina and wanting to be the children’s father, he and
Adina had always known that it was a joke. He never thought that Alden would take it seriously. If Alden
took it seriously, then Melody probably took it seriously too. That meant the kids had actually hoped to
become a family with him. But he messed it up.

Flint was totally sober now.

Four years ago, he had met the lonely and helpless Adina on the street in Anbarica. He was blown
away at the first glance, and he fell for her. Sadly, this woman’s heart was like stone. No matter what he
did, he could not make her heart flutter.

Besides, Adina felt that he had bad intentions, so she would always ignore him. After he had a
girlfriend, she finally allowed him to enter her circle. He had used such a terrible method just to be in
her world.

He wanted her to let her guard down, but he ended up destroying all the possibilities that could have
allowed him to be with her.

“Alden.” Flint chuckled in resignation. “I’m really not good enough for your mom. I know that more than
anyone else.” He never thought that he would be good enough for her either.
