Ninian was not able to sleep well that night.

The thought of Everett falling off the balcony was torturing her.

The temperature of the water was just right, as if George had added medicine to it. The water tasted
sweet and refreshing, soothing her dry throat.

She took several sips of it before putting it away.

George then put the thermos cup away.

“Is the wound on your back still hurting? Mrs. Tuffin reapplied the medicine twice in the evening. Are
you feeling any better?”

She nodded.

The wound on her back did not feel as painful anymore.

She took her phone and looked at the time. It was only after five in the morning.

She typed on her phone asking, [George, why are you here? Why didn’t you go to rest?”

His eyes were bloodshot.

“I’m okay. I’m a little worried about you, so I can’t sleep.”

She looked at him. Her heart ached as she shook her head.

“Don’t worry. I’m okay.” George reached out and

brushed her loose hair on her cheeks. He looked at her small face and sighed, “How long has it been
since we separated from Ufrya? You lost weight again. How are you doing in the entertainment
industry?”



He had actually looked it up and knew everything that had happened to her, but he just wanted to listen
to her talk about her life.

He knew that his baby sister was quite popular in the entertainment industry. Even though people
talked badly about her, she gained numerous fans by herself.

His heart ached for her, but he was also proud of her.

She nodded and typed to reply to him. [I’m doing good. I think I enjoy being a part of it.]

Her eyes lit up when she talked about it. It was as if she was talking about the dream that she was

George’s heart sank a little, but he did not say anything more.

She took out her phone. She hesitated a little, but she could not hold herself back as she asked, [Is

He sighed in his heart and did not show it as he said, “Everett is doing fine. Duncan sent him to the
hospital. His wounds are all just surface wounds, and his bones and muscles are not hurt. He’ll be fine
after some treatment.
