“Okay, enjoy your date.” Harold waved in pain.

“Mommy, remember to bring me some delicious food.” Melody blinked .

“Daddy, you have to protect Mommy. We‘ll wait for you to come back.”

The four children stood at the mansion‘s entrance and watched the two of them leave.

The car then headed straight to the hospital.

Some clinics were closed at night, but Duke had made a call in advance and booked an appointment
with the best doctor.

Adina took the list and underwent various examinations before she brought the examination report to
the outpatient clinic.

The doctor carefully flipped through the five checklists.

” There aren‘t any big issues with the data in the report. Suddenly forgetting something that just
happened is known as temporary memory impairment in medicine. This impairment will slowly
disappear with time, but it will also become increasingly severe with age. Under normal circumstances,
the symptoms will become more and more obvious only when the patients have reached the age of
forty…” Adina barely understood. It meant that her situation was normal, and she would slowly recover.

Duke pursed his lips and asked, “The personality that she shows when she temporarily loses her
memories is completely different from her usual personality. It‘s like two completely different people.



That can‘t be explained by temporary memory impairment.”

“If that‘s the case, you might need to go to the Psychiatric Department ,” the doctor seriously advised.

After they stepped out of the outpatient clinic, Adina had a complicated expression. “Duke, I don‘t have
schizophrenia, do I?”

That could be why her personality would change drastically and she would not remember anything she
had done.

“Don‘t overthink it.”

Duke held her tightly and softly said, “When that incident happened to me some time ago, you
experienced too much mental stress. Now that you‘re suddenly relaxed, maybe your mind still isn‘t
used to it. That‘s why this is happening. Didn‘t the doctor say you‘ll be fine after some time? Don‘t put
too much pressure on yourself then. You‘ll get better.“.

Adina leaned on his chest and nodded gently. “I’m not afraid of anything when you‘re here with me.”

Duke gently stroked her soft black hair.

Addy had been to Hestia Border before. There were all kinds of crimes in that kind of place. He was
worried that some people might have secretly plotted against her.

He had to invite a doctor from that place to come over and check what was going on. However, it had
to be done secretly so that no more pressure was put on Addy again.

The night silently passed by. When the curtains were drawn the next day, Adina‘s eyes glinted. It
actually snowed last night.



Heavy snow had covered the entire courtyard. Snowflakes and frost blanketed the trees, and
everywhere she looked, it was sparkling white. It was absolutely stunning.

Adina pushed open the window on the balcony and grabbed a handful of snow before she entered the
room. Then, she climbed onto the bed and stuffed it into the back of the man‘s neck.

“You little naughty girl!”

Duke took her by his arms and pinned her under him.

“Are you purposely provoking me early in the morning so that I‘ll punish you?”

“Oh, no. Don‘t kiss me! It tickles!” Adina avoided his kisses. “I‘m sorry. I‘m really sorry. How about you
stick the snow on my neck too?”

“You clearly know that I can‘t do that.” Duke kissed her on the face. “It‘s snowing today, it‘s freezing.
Maybe you shouldn‘t go to the banquet?”

“The reunion banquet was set a long time ago. How can I not go?” Adina nestled in his arms and spoke
lazily. “It‘s still early now. I‘ll take a short nap.”

She closed her eyes and rested, but the man‘s hands restlessly moved around her waist.

Adina patted him.

“Don‘t…”

There was a tough battle ahead at the Jones family‘s reunion banquet. She had to recuperate and build
