Just then, the bell in the preschool rang.

School was over. A group of four-year-old children ran out happily. Dew raised her finger and sneered.

time, so I won’t say hello to your daughter. Goodbye!” After she finished speaking, she turned around

little girl wrapped her arms around the man’s neck and broke into a smile. “Daddy’s a big hero. Daddy’s
here to protect me. I’m not afraid of anything!” The two of them laughed as they walked away. Melody
leaned on the window, and her eyes were filled with sadness. “Daddy…” she murmured softly.

Her voice was very low.

“Mel, did you say something?” Alden had good hearing, so he turned around and looked at her.
