Chapter 857 He Wanted to Move Out?

Gabrielle noticed that Nicole was uneasy, so she said to Blair, "She can't wait until the morning. I think
she won't have a good sleep here. You'd better send her back now."

Nicole looked at Gabrielle embarrassedly.

Nicole took out her phone and called Lucas.

Lucas yawned and said, "Samuel is at home. I heard that the man looks exactly the same as
Grandfather. However, Samuel called him uncle. He seemed to be the second uncle of Samuel. They
went into the study. I don’t know what they say to each other. Anyway, he soon left. And Samuel stayed
in the study for a long time. When he came out, he asked us to go to bed. And he went to the bedroom.
I thought you would be back in a while. I was too tired, so I just went to bed and didn’t wait for you."

Now Nicole knew what happened. But she didn't feel relieved and frowned deeper.

'Samuel's second uncle?'

Years ago, Nicole heard from Laurel that Samuel's second uncle competed with his father for the right
of managing the Green family. But then he went missing.

While investigating about Vincent's matter, Samuel also looked for his uncle. He thought that his uncle
was related to the things that happened. At last, it turned out that it had nothing to do with him, so
Samuel stopped looking for him. And he had never showed up. Laurel's matter was just over, and this
man suddenly appeared, saying that Samuel was his son. What was going on?

Nicole felt rather confused.

"Mommy? Did you hear me?"

Lucas did not hear Nicole's voice, so he asked loudly.

Nicole was startled. She hurriedly said, "Yes. Go back to sleep now. I am staying at your Grandpa
Mark's tonight. I'll go back in the morning."



"Alright."

Lucas hung up the phone. But Nicole didn't have the mood to have a rest.

Mark looked at her worried face and patted her shoulder, "It's alright. The Green family's affairs have
been complicated. But Samuel is in charge now. Don't worry. He is on your side. He won't make things
difficult for you. No matter what his uncle wants to do, he will protect you. If you don't want to stay at
the Green's, you can come here. I heard that you have been reunited with your grandfather? It's also
good if you want to go to accompany your mother."

Nicole nodded. She still felt a little confused, but she knew that Mark was right.

"Uncle Mark, Uncle Jason, you can go sleep now. I'm a little sleepy. I will go upstairs, take a shower,

Samuel.

Nicole sighed and sent a message to Samuel.

"I'm sorry. Forget about what happened today. Olivia was sad. Don't take it seriously. If you still feel
uncomfortable, we can go out for a walk to relax."

After Nicole sent the message, she thought that Samuel was asleep. Therefore, she decided to turn off
the phone and have a rest. But the phone suddenly rang. It was a message.

"It's alright."

His reply made Nicole even more uncomfortable.

'He hasn't gone to bed!'

'He's still awake. So why didn't he send me a message? Why didn't he call me?'

Nicole was rather disappointed.

She felt like crying, but she held the tears back.

"You haven't slept yet? It's too late tonight. I'm not going back. I'll go home tomorrow morning."

"OK."

His reply was still simply.

Nicole could even feel his coldness.

'Does he really get angry?'



She held the phone, wondering what to do.

'Perhaps we need some time to cool down.'

Nicole put the phone on the bedside table and lied on the bed. She waited for a long time but the
phone didn’t ring again. At last, she fell asleep.

When she woke up, it was already past eight o'clock in the morning.

Nicole hurriedly got up and washed up. She did not expect to sleep for so long.

She went downstairs. Mark had gone out. Jason saw her and asked her to have breakfast.

Nicole shook her head and said, "I'm going home. I'll have breakfast there. Bye. Uncle Jason."

"Let me have someone drive you home."

Jason could tell that Nicole couldn't wait to go back. He had planned to keep her, but now he changed
his mind.

Nicole did not refuse his offer.

When she arrived at the Green's, she saw people taking things out.

"What is going on?"

She hurriedly got out of the car.

The servants stopped as they saw Nicole. One of them said, "Mr. Green asked us to take these things
to the apartment on South Avenue. He said he would be staying there for the next a few days."

The words were a huge blow to Nicole.



If anyone should get angry for what had happened, it should be her! What did Samuel mean by this?
