Chapter 1665 You&##x27;re So Bad

Cara was already awake when Blair arrived. She just looked at Luna without saying a word, but the
look in her eyes made Luna's heart ache.

"Miss Cara, how are you feeling? Does it hurt a lot? Hold on for a while. Mr. Blair will be here in a
minute."

Luna's distressed look made Cara feel very bad.

She thought of Mrs. Shaffer.

Morty got busy after Mrs. Shaffer turned in her husband.

Cara opened her eyes after Blair left and looked at Luna and asked in a low voice, "Where did she go?
Is she coming back tomorrow?"

It was already late at night when Nicole arrived at Capital City.

When he heard that his daughter was coming, Xander drove over to pick her up.

When she saw Xander, Nicole's nose twitched and she jumped into his arms, catching him off guard.

"Nicole."

"Dad, you're so bad! How could you do this? What are you doing leaving Mom alone with me? She's
your wife! Can't you talk to us about anything you want to do? Aren't we family? How can you do this?
More than twenty years ago, you left my mother behind, and more than twenty years later, you plan to
leave me and Mum behind again. What kind of man are you? What kind of father are you?"

Nicole rambled on and on, but Xander felt touched.

He had come here determined to bring down the Shaffer family, but he hadn't expected Morty to stop
him, as well as Joseph and Lucas. Now when Morty called him and told him that the Shaffer family was

Two childish voices caused Nicole to slightly freeze. She then turned her head and saw Joseph and
Lucas poking their heads out of the back seat of the car. Clearly, they had just woken up.

She couldn't help but glance at Xander and whisper, "Why did you bring them out? They should have
been asleep by now at this hour."

"Weren't they asleep in the back? They had to come and get you, and I couldn't stop them."

Xander said with a doting look on his face.



Nicole couldn't be bothered to nag Xander, and once in the car, she started educating her two sons.

"What are you doing out so late at night?"

"Mummy, look, Eaton."

Lucas hurriedly moved out of the way and Nicole saw Eaton, who was sleeping, lying behind him.

Tears instantly welled up in Nicole's eyes.

Eaton had lost weight.

She didn't have to ask to know that he had suffered. She felt so bad at that moment that she stepped
forward and hugged Eaton. The feeling of having lost and found filled her chest and made her choke up
for a moment.

Joseph whispered, "Mummy, Eaton is fine, but he has lost a lot of blood and needs to rest. It was
Grandpa who brought Eaton back."

Hearing what he said, Nicole turned her head to look at Xander, who just walked over.

Nicole whispered, "Thanks, Dad."

"Silly girl."

Xander stroked Nicole's head and a touch of tenderness crossed his heart. He could still have such
warm days later, right?

As he was thinking, a car drove quickly towards them.
