Chapter 1813 You Are My Brother, You Are My Family

"What?"

Joseph struggled to avoid Lucas's gaze. Although he kept strong and calm, the frequency with which
he drank water nevertheless made it clear that he was a little nervous.

Lucas walked over step by step, looked at Joseph, and took the cup from his hand. He looked Joseph
straight in the eye and asked, "Why are you doing this? Do you know the man who came to steal the
kidney?"

"Yes."

Joseph finally looked at Lucas.

"Why? Give me a reason."

Lucas didn't think Joseph would be a terrorist, much less help an outsider to harm his own family.

He was his brother. Joseph had done a lot of things over the years for his younger siblings, and even
for him. He didn’t talk about it but Lucas knew all about it.

One could not be so perfect in disguise, nor could one hide for so many years. Joseph was a member
of the Green Family and his affection for them was clear for all to see. If anyone had said that Joseph
had colluded with the terrorists, he would not have believed them. But at this moment, he desperately
needed a reason.

Joseph pushed his glasses up his nose and whispered, "I owe her my life, and I have to repay that
favor. I know I shouldn't involve you and Yasmeen in my own affairs, but she begged me, and I couldn't
help it."



Lucas said nothing more. He placed the glass on the table and got up to leave.

Joseph suddenly became a little uneasy.

"Lucas, you can scold me, or hit me. What do you mean by being so quiet?"

"It means nothing. I'm going to check on Yasmeen."

Lucas didn't look back or even turn around, but just walked out. But if one looked closely, he could see

Lucas left Joseph's office and leaned against the wall in the corridor. He suddenly felt that his strength

in front of Joseph.

direction, while a long hair was cupped in his hand.

It had been found on Joseph's shoulder and he had brought it out with him.



Perhaps he would be able to confirm what that person was after testing this hair. But he was a little
scared.

Lucas didn't know what he was afraid of, but the feeling made him apprehensive and uneasy.

Lucas sat outside for a long time before regaining his strength. He took the hair and went to his room.

He actually had a lot of equipment here because of his work.

Lucas experimented for a while and the DNA of the hair came out. He hacked into the computer again
to find the corresponding DNA and froze when he saw the person's information.

She was actually Nichole Flores, the daughter of Carlos Flores.

Joseph had taken off his lab coat and was dressed in a simple casual suit, looking like a teenager and

Lucas followed behind him. He was in a depressed mood because of the incident and exuded an air of
indifference.

The two walked down the corridor and immediately attracted the attention of many people.



"Oh my, are they twins? They look alike."

"The two extremes of one indifferent and one gentle are really too eye-catching. I want to know them so
much."

A few nurses and women looked at them with fascination. But neither Joseph nor Lucas thought much
of this and walked out of the hospital without even looking at them.

There was a cafe next to the hospital and Joseph took Lucas there, booked a private room, and walked
up.

Lucas didn't say a word the whole time.

Once inside the booth, Joseph ordered two coffees and then asked the waiter to go out while he locked
the door behind him.

Lucas watched this quietly and did not speak, but stirred the coffee in his hand. He had no more desire
to drink it, and he didn't know what he should do or say.

The atmosphere was a little awkward and depressing.

Joseph returned to the table and saw that Lucas kept looking at his coffee as if he didn't have anything
to ask. But the aura of indifference that he exuded still made Joseph a little uncomfortable.

"Do you particularly hate me now?"

"Not really."

Lucas didn't look up and spoke blandly.

"You're my brother, my family. I can hate anyone, but I won't hate you."



Joseph's hand stiffened for a moment, then he smiled bitterly, "You wouldn't hate me? What would you
have done if someone else had done that today?"

"I would have killed him."

Lucas lifted his head straight up with murderous intent in his eyes. And his bloodshot eyes were telling
Joseph that he wasn't joking.

It was also at this moment that Lucas became clearly aware of his feelings for Yasmeen.

He didn't even know when he had fallen in love with her. Fortunately, it was not too late. But what
should he do now in this situation?
