Chapter 1713 He Should Learn From It

Lucas wondered if it would be good for him to learn how to cook.

He believed he was pretty smart, so he could learn it fast, couldn’t he?

As he thought, he didn’t show it on his face. He bent down his head and took a bite on the noodles.
They tasted pretty good.

Soon, he finished the noodle soup. Then he saw Yasmeen just finished applying the medicine on her
skin and hadn’t started yet. He frowned again.

“Hurry up and eat,” he said.

“No rush,” said Yasmeen.

“You’d better learn how to eat fast here. Otherwise, you can’t even drink the soup. After I’m gone, you’ll
stay in my room. If you need any help, just go to Edison and ask him to help you. Don’t get too close
with others. Your identity is different. When I’m not here if they bullied you...”

Suddenly, Lucas paused.

Thinking about how skilled Yasmeen was in fighting, he shushed in silence.

Yasmeen was still waiting for him to finish his words. Seeing that Lucas stopped, she asked, “If they
bullied me, could I bully them back?”

“I see,” said Yasmeen.

Suddenly, Lucas didn’t know what else to say. Heaving a sigh, he said, “I have to go in a minute. Do
you want to take a look at my current work?”

“Daisy has told me already. I can start working right away,” Yasmeen answered.

“Okay. You can go ahead.”

Lucas felt quite easy.

So far, the persons who could catch up with him were Michele and Daisy only. Although Yasmeen said
she had been studying networking technologies in the past few years, Lucas didn’t think she could
reach Daisy’s level.

Actually, Lucas trusted Daisy’s techniques instead of Yasmeen’s.

However, Yasmeen’s attitude surprised him.

He knew that if Michele wanted to come over, he needed to get approvals from all levels of the
supervisors. Thinking about Aaron’s attitude, Lucas would rather have support from Uncle Steven.

“Be careful. If you need any help, call me,” he said.

“Okay.”

Yasmeen smiled.

She found that Lucas treated her better after she came here this time. She was pretty delighted,
deciding to keep up the excellent work.



As Yasmeen left, Lucas still kept frowning.

He immediately messaged Daisy.

“Watch out for Yasmeen. She’s quite reckless. You’d better find an assistant to help her. Besides,
Edison should have a plan. Please discuss with him more.”

“I know. But you’ve truly underestimated my sister. She has made big progress in the past two years.”

Daisy defended her sister.

She knew clearly why Yasmeen was working so hard in the past two years. However, she also knew
why Yasmeen had done so. It was all because of Lucas.

Daisy felt quite unhappy.

She decided that if she couldn’t find a man like her father, she’d rather be alone instead of finding
someone to aggrieve herself.

She felt so sorry for Yasmeen.

Lucas, however, didn’t overthink. He said indifferently, “She’s a princess now, so she must be serious.
Okay. I must go now. Please help her.”

He put away the phone and started packing. He wondered how it was going with his mother. Since he
would leave here, he should leave as soon as possible.

Morty still hadn’t received any news that Michele had boarded a flight. When he asked, he was
informed that Aaron had stopped her from coming over. He felt upset.

“What are you doing, Dad?” he asked Aaron on the phone.



“I want to ask you what you want. You should know what a valuable talent Michele is. What if she was
infected?”

Aaron was unwilling to let her leave at all.

Morty said in depression, “It won’t work out here if she doesn’t come over. As soon as Lucas leaves,
the defense will fail absolutely.”

“Don’t overpraise Samuel Green’s son. He’s only eight or nine. How could he be so capable? Morty, no
matter what you say today, I won’t let Michele go there.”

After that, Aron directly hung up the phone. Morty was so angry. As soon as he turned around, he saw
Lucas leaning against the door. With hands in the trousers pockets, Lucas was looking at him coldly.

Morty felt quite embarrassed.

“Well... Michele will come here soon. Really. Soon,” he said.

“Not necessary. Yasmeen has come. Daisy will help her as well. With them both and Edison, there
should be no problem with the defense. Hurry up and pack. Let’s leave.”

Lucas didn’t speak anything unnecessary. He turned away directly.

It wasn’t until then did Morty see him taking a small bag, which should be his luggage.

He realized that when his father stopped Michele from coming here, Yasmeen had already arrived,
hadn’t she?

His father should learn from this awareness.

Morty suddenly felt so ashamed.

Feeling upset, Morty stood up, picked up his suitcase, and boarded a plane with Lucas.

Yasmeen looked entirely professional.

back of the seat, and closed his eyes.

He hadn’t slept for hours after arriving here. Now he was exhausted. As for Aaron’s decision and
Morty’s apology, he couldn’t care much.

When Morty sat down, he found Lucas asleep already.

While others felt panicked because of the virus, Lucas had sat in front of the computer and started
working all day and night long for the national interest.

He was just a child.

Other children the same age as him were still playing at being cute to their parents.

Morty thought about what the Hill family had done.

Although Lucas didn’t speak anything, Morty felt quite frustrated. He always thought that he had owed
the Green family too much.

Lucas didn’t know how uneasy Morty was feeling. He had a sound sleep.



He hadn’t been so easy in the past few weeks.

Even Lucas truly believed that Joseph could develop a better antidote, but he had to deal with the
technical problems by himself. Edison was quite skilled as well, but he was pretty reserved sometimes.
It would take a long time for him to open up.

Lucas felt so exhausted when fighting alone.

Now, with the support from Daisy and Yasmeen, he finally could relax his nerves. Although Yasmeen
wasn’t so good at him, she was outstanding among her peers.

Lucas hadn’t realized that his attitude to Yasmeen had been gradually changing, and his appreciation
for her had been gradually increasing. Nor had he realized that he had already handed the most
important of his to Yasmeen without feeling worried at all.

The flight was going smoothly, but something new happened to Nicole.
