Chapter 858 How Dare He

Nicole froze on the spot. Since Nicole remained silent, the servants continued to move things out.

"Stop it!"

Nicole suddenly shouted with rage.

What the hell was Samuel doing?

The servants was frightened and stopped, wondering what to do.

"Take them in. No one can move anything out without my permission! I am going to ask him what he
wants to do."

Nicole angrily entered the house.

The housekeeper was surprised to see Nicole.

"Mrs. Green, Mr. Green and the children are having their meal in the dining room."

Samuel would not start to eat until Nicole come before.

She was a little sad, but she quickly continued to walk to the dining room.

Samuel had already changed into a new set of clothes, and the children were enjoying the food. They
were surprised to see Nicole.

"Mommy, come here."

Lucas hurriedly filled a bowl of rice for Nicole.

Nicole tried her best to suppress her anger and said to the children, "Go to your rooms. I want to talk to
your daddy."



"Just say it. They are not vulnerable babies."

Samuel did not raise his head. He said in a cold tone, like what he would do five years ago.

Nicole felt heartbroken.

She even felt that she didn't know him anymore.

"Are you moving out?"

Nicole suppressed her sadness and asked.

"Yes. I need to deal with a collaboration case. I may get distracted at home, so I'm staying out for a few
days."

Samuel still had his head lowered.

Nicole felt he was a stranger to her at this moment.

Hearing what they said, Lucas recalled Nicole's call last night. He looked at Samuel and said, "Samuel,
Mommy didn't come back last night. Did you ask anyone to take her home?"

Samuel finally raised his head. He gave Lucas a harsh look.

"Shut up. The adults are talking."

Samuel had never been so stern to Lucas.

Nicole thought she had misheard.

"Samuel, what are you doing? He didn’t say anything wrong."



"Look at your son! A fond mother spoils the children. They should go to the military region to have
training from toady."

Samuel was not asking for their opinions.

Lucas and Joseph were shocked.

Zoe also felt strange.

She looked at Samuel and said, "Daddy, I don't want to go."

"It's not up to you! Pack your stuff now! I have been too tolerant to you guys. You should learn to
respect your elders."

Samuel put his chopsticks hard on the table.

He had never lost his temper. The children were frightened, including Lucas.

Nicole was the most surprised.

Samuel was mad at her. He should not vent his anger on the children.

Zoe cried out in fright.

"Stop crying!"

Samuel's eyes were extremely cold. Zoe was startled and stopped.

Nicole couldn't stand it anymore. She walked forward and held Zoe in her arms. She felt angry and
disappointed at Samuel.



"Samuel, what's wrong with you? Why do you shout at the children? They didn't make any mistakes.
You can vent your anger on me if you want. I won't let the children leave today. Nobody could take
them away!"

Nicole had the three children behind her, like a mother duck protecting her ducklings.

Samuel looked at her coldly. There was no emotion in his eyes.

Nicole felt pain in her heart.

They just stared at each other. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very intense. The servants
outside held their breath.

They had never seen such situation in the Green's.

Petty, Zac, and Laurence were not here. Nobody dared to mediate. No one dared to speak. Nicole and
the children just looked at Samuel in silence.

There was a growing feeling of grief in Nicole's heart as time passed.

'Olivia did make a mistake and plot against him, but she has explained it.'

'It had passed! Why is he still angry? He even shouted at the kids!'

'How dare he!'

Nicole was extremely disappointed.

Samuel glanced at them. Then he kicked the chair and left the dining room. He didn't take his coat and
directly got out of the house.

After he left, Zoe cried out.



"Mommy, Daddy doesn’t like me anymore. He shouted at me! I'm so scared!"

It hurt Nicole to see her tears.

She held Zoe in her arms to calm her down, "It's alright. Daddy is not in a good mood today. He will be
fine in a few days. Let's give him some time. Okay?"

"Really? Will Daddy be fine soon?"

Zoe choked.

Nicole hurriedly nodded, though she was not sure.

It was the worst quarrel since they got married.

She also felt upset.

Lucas narrowed his eyes and didn't say anything. After a while, he gave Nicole a bowl of rice and said,
"Mommy, come on. Have some food. You can't reason with an irrational person."

Joseph agreed with Lucas, "Right. Mommy, hurry up. The food is getting cold."

Nicole had no appetite at all, but the children were waiting for her. And they hadn't finished their meal.
Therefore, Nicole nodded and sat down.

"Let's enjoy the meal. Forget about your daddy. He's just crazy. He will be fine later."

Nicole tries her best to appear calm.

Fortunately, the children were very sensible. They didn't say anything and just continued to have their
food.



Nicole had never felt so uneasy at table.

After the children finished their meal, Joseph went upstairs with Zoe. Lucas sat beside Nicole and
asked, "Mommy, what exactly happened to you and Samuel? Was he out of his mind?"

What he said was a little mean.

Nicole was amused.

"Nothing. It's just a misunderstanding between us."

She touched Lucas’ head. She didn't want to tell him.

"What's it? Why was he so angry? He has never been like this before."

Nicole paused.

'Lucas is right. Samuel has never been like this before. He has gone too far this time.'

Nicole didn't know how to explain to Lucas. She could only pacify him.

"Don't worry. Anyway, it'll be fine in a few days."

Nicole made up her mind not to say anything. Lucas didn't ask again. He knew his mother well. Once
Nicole made up her mind, no one could change it.

"So, we..."

"Just do what you've got to do. It's alright."

Nicole saw that the servants were still moving Samuel's things out. She wanted to stop them, but she
didn’t.



'Samuel is in a fit of anger now. It's better to wait until he calms down.'

Nicole felt pain in her stomach and her pants were a little sticky. Perhaps it was caused by her anger or
her fatigue yesterday.

She was a little panicked.

"Lucas, you can go upstairs now. I'm going to the bedroom to change my clothes."

"Alright."

Lucas looked at Nicole worriedly.

Nicole was in a hurry to change her clothes. She quickly went upstairs. She didn't notice Lucas’ gaze.

After Nicole went upstairs, Lucas went out.

Samuel was directing people to move things into the car. Lucas narrowed his eyes as he saw that.

"Samuel!"

Lucas’ voice was not loud, but it revealed a trace of anger.

Samuel didn't seem to hear it. And the servants didn’t stop.

Lucas clenched his fists.

He didn't know what had happened between Samuel and Nicole, but at this moment, he felt like
beating Samuel up.

And he did.



Lucas kicked a small pebble, which hit Samuel on his calf.

Samuel turned around and saw Lucas coldly looking at him.

"I want to talk to you."

"Go back to your room. I don't have time right now."

Samuel walked to the car to open the door.

Lucas quickly walked forward and shut the car door heavily. It was so quick that Samuel's hand nearly
got hurt.

"Are you crazy?"

Samuel broke out in cold sweat.

Lucas said indifferently, "Shall we talk?"

Samuel had never seen Lucas so serious. He was a little surprised.

"I have a meeting. I'll be late."

"Our family has so much wealth. You don't have to attend this meeting, do you? Samuel, what are you
doing? Look what you just did to Mommy. She is your wife. She is pregnant with your child. And you
vented your anger on her. How could you do that?"

Lucas was shorter than Samuel, but he spoke with force. His words were like a knife stabbing at
Samuel.

He looked at Lucas and said coldly, "Your mother asked you to say this to me?"



"Do you think she would do that? I just can't stand it. I've said before that if anyone hurt my mommy, I
won't let him off, even if it's her husband. Don't yell at her anymore, or you will regret it.'

Lucas was like a lion cub revealing his fangs after being provoked by his enemy. He felt like tearing
Samuel apart.

Samuel's eyes were extremely cold.

This was the first time he had been scolded by a child. He was annoyed.

"Look at you. What have you learned from your mommy in the past five years? Did she teach you to
talk to your daddy in this way? You have no couth at all."

"Mommy, Zoe, and I had been homeless in the past five years. Isn't that your fault? Now you have
come back. But you failed to be a qualified father and husband. You should not come back if you leave
here today."

Lucas turned around and left.

Samuel was so angry that he trembled. He narrowed his eyes. Finally, he asked people to put his
luggage back.

Lucas felt relieved when he saw the servants replace the things.

Nicole did not know all of this. She had run into the bathroom in her bedroom. When she took off her
pants, her face turned pale.

'Gosh... It's bleeding!'

The pain in her belly brought her out in a cold sweat. She was extremely panicked.

'Is the baby alright?'
