Chapter 873 There are Many Ways

After Samuel brought Nicole back to her bedroom, he looked at her, worried.

Nicole knew what worried him. She smiled, saying, "I'm fine. I did feel uncomfortable at the beginning,
but then I thought I have been loved by them for years. How can I prevent them from finding their own
child? I also have my birth parents, right? I'm just not happy that they made a move without telling me."

"Without telling you? I'm afraid that they forced you to do so. I'm very angry that they asked you to take
her like a child. She's your age! They know what's going on with you..."

Samuel was sophisticated enough to see Mr. and Mrs. Bush' plan.

Samuel had treated them as his parents because they raised Nicole, but now, he was unsatisfied with
what they had done.

Nicole covered his mouth in time.

"I know you care about me, and you stick up for me. But what can I do? It's impossible I don't care
about them. Today I saw Dad pawn his paintings and spend eight million on a violin. You know how
much my father cherishes his paintings. Now he would like to do everything for this daughter. I only
hope she can be filial and not let them down. I will help them as long as Melissa doesn't go too far.
Anyway, I see her as my sister."

Nicole shook her head resignedly.

Seeing her like this, Samuel said in distress, "You always make yourself suffer."

"It's fine. It will only be a few days. After the room is ready, they'll probably take her away."

Nicole wanted to tidy up the floor, but she found it very clean.

"Are you designing something?"

"Yes, I left the notebook at my Grandfather's. I'll fetch it tomorrow. I have some inspiration today, but I

"Do you want me to give you a reference?"

Nicole paused, then shook her head and said, "No, thanks. I want to show my ability. Even if I lost, I
would have tried my best. I know with your help I can be selected, but I don't want that."

"Alright, it's totally up to you."

Samuel stroked her head.

Suddenly something occurred to Nicole.

"Well, what happened to Gerry?"

"Gerry?"

Samuel was a little surprised.

"Didn't Gerry get released?"

"Of course he didn't. What?"



Nicole frowned when she saw Samuel was not joking at all.

"Today Lucas and I went to an arcade. We met a young man stirring up trouble there."

Nicole told him what happened at the game hall as well as the conversation between Gerry and Jamar.
She highlighted the fact that Gerry called her sister-in-law and Lucas nephew, and mentioned the
poppy pattern.

Hearing this, Samuel frowned.

"Impossible. Gerry has been within my sight and no one called Gerry at the time you mentioned."

"What? I have phone records."

Nicole took out her phone, found the phone records and gave to Samuel.

Samuel took it and checked, squinting. He directly called back, but the voice in the phone indicated it
had been turned off.

Nicole was surprised.

"It was available in the afternoon."

"I'll go check the game hall."

Samuel said as he was about to go.

"I'll go with you."

Nicole grabbed her coat, preparing to go with Samuel.



Though Samuel did not intend to let Nicole follow him, he was afraid that she would worry at home
alone. So, he agreed.

When Nicole and Samuel came out, Melissa was still in the living room, doing something. They directly
walked out without greeting her.

Lucas was in the room, but they weren't worried about what Melissa would do to Lucas. Lucas’ IQ was
high enough to prevent Melissa from hurting him.

When Nicole and Samuel arrived at the game hall, they found the door closed and locked.

"How so? The game hall should be bustling with people now. Why is there no one? Lucas and I were..."

Nicole was interrupted by Samuel before she could finish.

"Looks like you and Lucas got involved in something.. That Gerry may not be the one we caught. That's
why this place could be the stronghold of the people with poppy tattoos. Unfortunately they were
alarmed in the afternoon, and they probably have escaped."

"What do you mean? Are you saying the person you caught was not Gerry?"

Nicole felt confused.

Samuel shook his head and said, "I don't know either. The Gerry we captured didn't say anything.
Uncle Elvis hasn't called yet, and it seems he has completely given up on him. This doesn't make
sense. And you found another Gerry who even said you're his sister-in-law. This is interesting. Could it
be that we were quadruplets? Is this Gerry an abandoned child?"

Nicole was even more surprised at Samuel's conjecture.

"Go ask that Gerry."

Samuel turned around and got into the car with Nicole. They drove to the place where Gerry was
imprisoned.

When Laurence and Ernesto saw them, they made room for them immediately.

"Does he still say nothing?"

Samuel asked.

Laurence nodded.

"He didn't say a word. We tried hard, but those methods didn't work on him."

Samuel and Nicole walked in.

When Gerry saw them, he showed no emotion. He looked down, as if he was deep in thought.

Looking at such a face that was exactly the same as Samuel, though Nicole was used to it, she still felt
somewhat awkward.

This Gerry looked very stiff. To put it another way, he only had one expression on his face as if he
suffered facial paralysis.

Nicole nudged Samuel and whispered, "This Gerry seems to have no emotion. He wore the same
expression when quarreling with me. I haven't seen him laugh."

Samuel frowned slightly.

"What do you think?"



"I feel like something is wrong. Why don't you take a sample to do the DNA paternity test?"

Samuel froze after hearing what she said.

"You mean..."

"Do you remember Vincent? I mean the person who pretended to be the Vincent. Nowadays one's face
is changeable. As there was a fake Vincent, there can be a fake Samuel or a fake Gerry. I think his
face could be paralyzed because of a plastic surgery failure, but I'm not sure."

Samuel suddenly understood. He was somewhat upset. One fake Vincent was enough, and now Elvis
wanted a fake Samuel!

Elvis wanted a fake Gerry!

If Nicole's suspicion was true, Samuel could understand why Uncle Elvis did not hasten to rescue this
Gerry.

Nicole knew what Samuel was thinking of when she noticed his silence. She was also unsure about it.

Samuel did not ask Gerry further. He walked out with Nicole. If Nicole's guess was true, this Gerry
would definitely not say anything.

He asked Laurence to take a blood sample from Gerry and waited outside.

After Laurence took the blood sample, Samuel also took his own sample and gave it to Blair.



They would wait a day for the result.

Samuel and Nicole went back to the Green's.

Melissa had returned to her room. Fortunately, nothing happened.

Samuel was depressed, which worried Nicole. She asked, "What are you worried about?"

"I wonder why Uncle Elvis came back this time. He said he came for me, or for the Greens' property,
but he didn't make a move. The fake Gerry thing really bothers me. One fake Vincent is enough, and
now a fake Gerry?"

"There are many ways. Plastic surgery is so advanced that it is not a problem for one to look like

Nicole comforted Samuel.

Samuel nodded.

They had a good night's sleep.

When she woke up the next morning, Nicole was afraid that Samuel and Melissa would quarrel, so she

Unexpectedly, Melissa was cooking in the kitchen.

Nicole looked at Lucas, who crossed arms around his chest, and asked softly, "What is she doing?"

"I don't know. She was in the kitchen when I got up. Mommy, dare we eat the food she cooked? Is
there a risk of being poisoned?"

Lucas frowned as he asked.



Wendy who just came out of the kitchen smiled and said to them, "Mrs. Green, don't worry. Ms. Melissa
has been cooking early in the morning with my help. She cooks well. I can see she has lived hard."

Nicole did not reply.

After Lucas heard what Wendy said, he looked at Nicole and said, "Alright, let her do it. Mommy, I told
Grandpa Mark I would stay here for a few more days. I don't trust her at home."

Seeing her son so considerate of her, Nicole smiled, saying, "Mommy is an adult. How can I always be
protected by you? Don't worry, your daddy is here, and she can't trouble us. If you want to leave, go
now. Or, I may change my mind and don't let you go."

"Alright, I will tell Grandpa Mark I'm leaving today. But has Samuel got up yet?"

Lucas asked, intending to go upstairs and look for Samuel.

At this moment, Laurence came.

"Mrs. Green, where is Mr. Green? I have something that I need to talk him."

"What's the matter?"

Nicole saw Laurence was in a bad mood, so she asked.

Laurence frowned, saying gloomily, "Gerry is dead!"
