Chapter 1826: She’s Going to Get Married Some Day

Right after Lucas landed safely, the door of Joseph’s bedroom was opened and Mr. Frye walked in with
company.

Mr. Frye was observing around in the room as if he was in search of clues and traces. Seeing Joseph
standing there with a sneer, Mr. Frye couldn't help but feel a little aggrieved. He could only endure it
though.

“Why are you still up, Dr. Green?”

Mr. Frye spoke in embarrassment.

Joseph said coldly, “Right now you’ve put me under house arrest, but you assume I would have no
trouble sleeping. How big-hearted do you expect me to be?”

Mr. Frye was a little ashamed of this.

“Dr. Green, you don’t have to clash with me like this, you know, I’ve treated you as my honorable
guest.”

“Don’t you feel sorry about saying this? Just come straight to the point and tell me what you want from
me.”

Joseph wasn’t giving Mr. Frye an easy time, therefore Mr. Frye was pissed off.

The smile on Mr. Frye’s face finally faded, and he said unemotionally, “What did Julian speak with you
about when he was here just now?”

“Well, he came to beg for my help to treat his son. This is what you are here for, too. Am I right?”

Joseph used the word “beg”, which provoked Mr. Frye. Mr. Frye had a sulky look on.



“Julian begged for your help? How?”

“On his knees. He got the attitude right. Don’t you think?”

Joseph looked at Mr. Frye with a crooked smile.

Mr. Frye’s facial expression seemed funny and uncertain.

He knew Julian’s temperament better than anyone else. Julian seemed obedient, but he was really
proud. And there was no way a proud person like Julian would kneel down and beg Joseph for help.

Considering the kid’s situation now, Mr. Frye wasn’t so sure anymore whether Julian would get on his
knees for his son. After all, Mr. Frye knew how Julian felt about his child.

On the thought of this, Mr. Frye stopped beating around the bush and spoke, “What does it take for Dr.
Green to operate on my grandson?”

“I did tell you what my terms were.”

“You are not going to sugar-coat it anymore, aren’t you, Dr. Green? Do you really think I’m running out
of ways to get you to do what I want?”

Mr. Frye finally showed his true colors.

Joseph sneered and said, “What else can you do?”

“We can’t find Lucas. But it is not hard to locate Nicole and Samuel Green. I know they are capable and
smart, and they are surrounded by bodyguards. But that isn’t 24/7, is it? Oh, and there’s your sister and
the two brothers. What if I pick on them...”

“Don’t you dare!”



Joseph was enraged.

His bottom line was to keep his family safe.

Seeing Joseph’s anger, Mr. Frye then said with a smirk, “Dr. Green, think it through.”

After that, Mr. Frye left with his men.

Joseph was a bit worried, but he had faith in his brothers and sister that they would be able to protect
themselves from Mr. Frye. But Mr. Frye was right, they were human and human made mistakes. He
feared Mr. Frye would prey on his family like a serpent.

Joseph turned speedily and found Lucas was gone.

Since Joseph had decided to stay, Lucas wouldn’t sabotage his plan. Lucas evacuated his team as
soon as he had landed. And he exposed the location of the villa immediately.

Lucas didn’t trust anyone but Michele and Edison. So he exposed the location to them.

Michele directly passed this info to Mr. Morty.

Morty sent a team to put the villa under their surveillance right away.

Everything seemed to be proceeding in an orderly manner.

Lucas made it to the Military Hospital right after he left the villa. There started to appear the light of
dawn.

Lucas, who hadn’t slept all night, jumped into Yasmeen’s room through the window. It was such a relief
for him to finally be able to meet her. Yasmeen was sleeping soundly.

Lucas took off his shoes quickly, got into bed, and wrapped his arm around Yasmeen.



The familiar scent of Lucas stunned Yasmeen. Lucas’s handsome face was so close and she looked at
him with her eyes wide open. She had to pinch herself hard to see whether she was having a dream.

Why didn’t that hurt?

Did that mean she was dreaming?

Yasmeen was a bit disappointed, but she was bold.

If she was having a dream about Lucas, it’d be no problem doing something she had always wanted.

Thinking of this, she went ahead and held Lucas’s face. She kissed his face, and in the meantime, she
said with a grin, “This dream feels so real, I can feel your warmth.”

Lucas was amused.

Now Yasmeen was being goofy. But she was delightful.

They were in a dream, weren’t they?

Lucas grabbed the back of her head and started kissing her passionately.

Yasmeen was caught off guard. But it was too late - Lucas held her down and continued. She was
getting out of breath.

When Lucas let go of her, she was breathing so hard like a fish away from water.

“Lucas, are you crazy?”

“Did that feel like a dream to you?”

Lucas was looking at Yasmeen with his smiley eyes. He was in a very good mood.



Yasmeen responded with her brows frowning, “I pinched myself and it didn’t hurt at all.”

“Are you sure you pinched yourself? Who did the bruise on my arm then?”

Lucas was a bit annoyed and he showed his arm. That bruise on it did shock Yasmeen.

Was it Lucas that she was pinching?

And she did that to him with so much strength?

Yasmeen realized she had made a mistake.

Putting down Lucas’s arm, Yasmeen put on a smile and said, “I thought you would be busy and
wouldn’t make it back until noon.”

“Are you unhappy about my early return?”

Lucas said that in a threatening manner. He made it sound like Yasmeen would get into trouble if she
had said she didn’t appreciate his early return. So Yasmeen didn’t say much.

“How is that possible? I am just thrilled. That’s why I...”

“Shut your mouth and go to bed!”

Lucas didn’t want to listen to her mumbling anymore. He reached out to hold Yasmeen in this arms and
lied down immediately.

Yasmeen was feeling a bit shy. However, she noticed Lucas was breathing steadily already long before
she could say anything else.

Was he asleep already?



She couldn’t help but look at Lucas. Did he stay up all night? - Yasmeen found dark circles under his
eyes.

Yasmeen felt bad.

She knew Lucas was a light sleeper. A little sound could wake him. Yasmeen kept her posture the
same as just now so Lucas could get some rest. But now she was completely awake.

Looking at Lucas’s beautiful face, Yasmeen had a goofy smile on. She could feel the butterflies in her
stomach. It felt awesome to have him back!

She was worried about the operation at the beginning, but now she was relieved.

As long as Lucas was there for her, she had no fear.

Yasmeen started to feel drowsy as time flew by. She fell asleep on Lucas’ chest.

When Ashley and Patrick came to wake Yasmeen up, they saw the two lovebirds in bed together.

Ashley was embarrassed. Patrick stopped her when she was trying to go forward and separate
Yasmeen and Lucas.

“Patrick, that’s your sister inside.”

Ashley seemed upset.

Patrick laughed and said, “She’s deeply in love with Lucas. Mom, she’s going to get married someday.
My sister would find what you were about to do annoying, you know. I don’t think you’d like that.”

Maybe Patrick was right. Ashley didn’t know what to say.
